Finding my photography and editing niche
Just a few photos from this week. I am trying to bring my camera with me more now. I want to keep improving. I've had a camera since high school but only dabbled in it. I never took it seriously and really made an effort in trying to learn. I mean, I knew the basics but thats about it. I never developed a 'style' of my own. I even had a Flickr. I felt like I was getting the hang of it and even had some of my favorite photographers on there encouraged me and complimented my work. But, as with everything i do, I got bored of it and moved on. I hope to change that now that I am blogging on a regular basis. Along with my photography skills, I am struggling with my editing style. Editing is something I enjoy quite a lot. I don't mean, editing the heck out of the photo and end up making it look like there's been filters upon filters incorporated in it. Just enough to make my photos be more recognizable as MY photos. I don't know how else I can explain it.

I actually like editing as much if not more then my photos. I find the right editing can make the viewer feel like they are there. Gives you a bit of control over how you felt when you were taking it instead of just snapping a pic! THANK YOU so much for your input on the camera lens. I think you may have solidified my decision to get the 35mm. It just doesnt make sense to get one that wont reach its full potential with my camera body!
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly! The process is just as fun! And anytime! I just wanted to voice out my opinion the same way I wish someone had told me about the two lens. Two things I want to add; I encourage you to watch Youtube videos of the model of your camera with the two different lenses. I think that'll help a bit! And if you're buying the lens in a store, try them both out! And I discovered your blog today and I love it!! One of my dreams is to visit Alberta, Canada to see Lake Louise (I think its there..?) How do you like it?!!
DeleteSorry for rambling!
